Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games Mercenary Profile Editor
------------------------------------------------------

jadgmpe.zip contains the following files:
jampe-readme.txt (this readme file), jampe.exe and proed.exe in the subdirectory
edt.

proed.exe is sir-tech's original editor for the mercenary profiles. it was published
with a demo of deadly games. however sir-tech changed the format of the file prof.edt,
where the information about the mercs is stored for the release version of deadly games.
this is where my program comes in: jampe.exe modifies the prof.edt so that the editor
can read it. after you made your changes with proed.exe, which is automatically started,
the format is changed again, so that you can use the prof.edt in deadly games. if anything
went wrong, the program makes a backup (prof.bak) that is stored in your edt directory.

installation:
unzip jadgmpe.zip to you deadly games directory. now jampe-readme.txt and jampe.exe should
be in your deadly games directory, while proed.exe should be stored in your edt
subdirectory. just run jampe.exe to start the editor.

i tested the program with deadly games v.1.13z german only, but i think that it will
work with all versions of dg.

if you have any problems running the program, contact azrael1981@gmx.de
